Water Services Energy Efficiency Training Course
The Tipperary Energy Agency, In conjunction with Kerry County Council and the Midlands Energy Agency have designed this couse in order to address the growing need in Local Authorities to address energy consumption in Water Services. It aims to give the participants the skills to understand the current efficiency of their systems and know the exact actions to improve the energy performance including low and high cost actions. The course is split into 2 days, the first day is a background skills day and the second day is an applied learning day, including a site visit to a local authority water plant where real analysis can be done on site.

Day 1 includes several worked examples of actual calculations based on actual plants that give the participants the skills to understand their own systems. There is a specific piece of work that each participant must complete on their own plant in advance of the second day.

Who Should Attend?
This Course is speciffcally designed for Local Authority water services personel and any business that supports them:
- Local Authority Engineers / Supervisors /Foremen/ Caretakers/ Technicians
- Consultants that design or advise Local Authorities on energy efficiency or water services
- Suppliers that supply mechanical, electrical or other relevant services
Courses are being held in the Water Services Training Centers and course fees for local authority personell are paid directly under the water services training program. Non Water services personell are encouraged to attend, with significant networking opportunities available in addition to the training course.

- William Moynihan, Kerry Energy Agency. William has worked 20 years with Avonmore Pumps, 10 years in Kerry County Council working on Water Services Energy efficiency
- Paul Kenny, Tipperary Energy Agency. Paul has worked 5 years in the TEA working on Water services energy efficiency. Previously working 6 years in manufacturing efficiency
- Mark MacAuley, Laois County Council SEE in Water Services and Manager of the Midlands Energy Agency.
