TrainEnergy

Upskilling of Irish Tradespersons for retrofitting and building of low energy buildings is a key goal of the Tipperary Energy Agency. The TEA in conjunction with Cork institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Blanchards town developed an upskilling course, supported by the Intelligent Energy Europe program. The project Website can be visited here. The summary report will be available shortly.

This 9 day course was run in March and April 2011 and included 2 days on site in Tipperary, one day in the Eco-Village in Cloughjordan, one day visiting existing retrofitted houses from the SERVE project.

As part of this project 50 Irish tradespeople were trained with the Pilot Training materials. These materials are all available free to download and are in-depth and relevant to the tradesperson as part of their upskilling.
