The TEA believes that developing the skills and knowledge of people to delivery sustainable energy projects is a vital part of helping us achieve our targets. In light of this we are involved in providing a range of training to different groups and individuals. Below you can find out more about the range of training provided currently. Sustainable Building Training Materials
The Intelligent Energy europe project TrainEnergy has prosuced a significant resource ofr sustainable building, how to calculate a U value, legislation, interstitial condensation etc. They are all available here. Further details on the project can be found on the project website.
Energy Management Training
The TEA provides Energy MAP training (for large organisations) and Energy Management for SMEs (for smaller organisations) – click here to find out more.
Renewable Energy Training
The development of renewable energy requires specific expertise and in particular the ability to complete assessments of the viability of particular technologies. TEA is a leading provider of training in the feasibility tool RETScreen. Click here for more information.
Water Services Training
Based on our work in the public sector on energy consumption in the water services sector a need to increase the knowledge of those working in this area was identified. Further details on this course, which has been delivered to over 200 people to date, can be found here
Other Training and Education available in Tipperary
The TEA works closely with the Tipperary Institute (TI). TI has been providing training and education in the energy sector since 2000. Links to the TI range of programmes are provided below. The TEA is involved in delivering modules and sessions in a number of these programmes.
