Lighting

In most homes, lighting accounts for 10-15% of the electricity bill. Installing energy efficient lights (CFL) can also save a significant amount of money. They cost only €2-5 each, last up to 12 times longer and save you up to €13 a year. If you use them in places where you have lights on for the longest periods e.g porches, landings, kitchens etc.  By using just 4 CFL bulbs, in the places where lights are mostly needed, you will use up to 80% less electricity and you will save over a tonne of CO2 within 6 years.
