The TEA is committed to assisting small business and industry become more sustainable by reducing their energy costs and consumption. The Commercial and Industrial Sector accounts for 30% of all energy consumption in County Tipperary and their are many opportunities to reduce energy consumption and develop renewable energy projects.
The TEA has worked with clients such as Abbot Vascular, South and North Tipperary County Enterprise Boards, Credits Unions and others to implement energy projects and promote sustainable energy. For SMEs energy can be a significant overhead which is often ignored. Taking action to reduce this does not take significant investment and savings of 10-20% can be achieved within a short time frame.
