 Aim of The Project

The Trainenergy project aims to produce a training programme about the EU Energy Performance of Building Directives 2002 and Energy End-Use Efficiency and Energy Services 2006 for tradesmen in the construction industry.

The project will:

  • Produce training materials for tradesmen consisting of common European core modules with country specific modules for each of the countries involved. 
  • Produce training resources  in the languages of the project: English, German, Danish, French and Spanish.
  • Train teachers to teach these modules. 
  • Promote the issues of energy efficiency and sustainable energy amongst the trades people in the construction sector.

During the project 24 teachers and 300 tradespeople will be trained from the participant countries of Ireland, UK, France, Germany, Spain and Denmark.

Duration

The project will run for 30 months from November 2009 to April 2012, with the first tradespersons being trained in Winter 2010
