Energy Audit of Area Offices and Machinery Yard – North Tipperary

Audit:

As part of the Energy Committee Workplan for 2010, it was decided to audit the area offices and smaller public buildings. In May 2010, audits were carried out on:

• Machinery Yard Offices
• Machinery Yard Workshop
• Borrisokane Area Office
• Roscrea Area Office
• Thurles Town Hall
• Benendine Area Office

Recommendations made included included insulation upgrades, heating controls for storage heaters and wet systems, low energy lighting retrofits.

Implementation:

The TEA and NTCC are currently awaiting grant aid approval from SEAI’s “Energy Efficiency Retrofit Fund” to help complete the work outlined above. Annual savings of over €10,000 are possible with the measures outlined above.

Results:

The result of the project will be uploaded after implementation has taken place.
